Carnet for a yet unbought bike?possible?
 
still in europe. planning to buy an Enfield in Nepal and drive it back.

how do i get the carnet up front ?
how can the bike be evaluated?

am I asking the right questions at all ?

In order...
I don't think you can... its tied to the rego and frame and engine numbers.
You get a receipt when you buy it. Try and get another one with half that value on it:innocent:. Its no skin off their nose...

I'm from Scotland but bought a bike in Australia. When I shipped it to Malaysia, I got a Carnet couriered to the shipping agents office in Port Klang. All done over the phone with Paul at the RAC and very straighforward.

Note if you bring a bike into the UK and you've been away less than 12 months, they'll hit you with Import duty and VAT when you try and register it in the UK. If you stay out of the country for more than 12 months and you bring in a foreign registered bike, I think you can avoid paying this though.
