Carnet for Turkey (non-European vehicle)?

I'm getting conflicting information: read that CDP not required for Turkey, but then that that applies only to a European-registered vehicle (what about North American/ Oz/NZ etc.etc.?)

My vehicle is registered in Oman. I want to get to Europe without a CDP but if one's needed for Turkey, I've got a problem.

Any advice, please?

Similar situation here, driving an Indonesian registered vehicle into Europe...

Any thoughts if Carnet is needed at the Turkye border?

Carnet not required for Turkey, irrespective on country of vehicle registration.

In 2002, Turkish Customs introduced a " vehicle free entry-exit form" issued at the border to allow temporary import of all private & commercial vehicles.

In October 2007, RAC were advised the following by AIT Customs Secretariat,Geneva:

The Turkish Customs authorities confirm in their letter of 27.9.07 that at borders equipped with computer systems there is no need for the entry-exit form and no fee is charged for the temporary importation of private and commercial vehicles. However, at borders without computerization, a document is still needed.
