Carnet for Cuba

Hi Guys, anyone know if a carnet is required for Cuba. I would ask their Aduana but the web site won't play with my laptop. Ride safe.

I saw an aduana website suggesting not too problematic getting bike into CUba for 30 days, so long as it goes out by time you go...didn't say anything about Carnet..hard to get detailed info.
How you getting your bike to Cuba? I would very much like to do a side trip to Cuba from Mexico mid-Feb. I am flying from Nova Scotia and picking up the bike Friday and heading south.
I know at least one other guy (from Florida) who wants to do the trip as well. Let me know, maybe we can get some kind of economies of scale.
Cheers

So far no luck on the transportation side. It looks like the "Cancun-Cuba" ferry is still a dream although I keep coming across references to a Miami-Cuba vehicle carrying hydrofoil but as yet haven't found a website for it. Airfreight seems a possibility but initial investigations look like this method will be ruled out because of cost. (For me that is.) I'll be in Mazatlan for the next couple of weeks befor heading off butterfly hunting in Michoacan if you fancy a beer or three. Ride safe.

after some delays I am finally entering Mexico and heading towards Veracruz and maybe Cancun. I will visit the Cuban consulate in V. and sniff around for boats (cargo carrying ships) and smaller sail boats...I once met a Yank who went to Cuba on his sailboat (not direct of course) and I suspect there are more...

Let's keep in touch on this. If it is doable I'm gone.

Cheers
