Just wanted to clairfy that i do not need a carnet for Albania, Montegngro, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia.
I know this section says no carnets required for Europe, but just wanted to be sure?? |

|
Hi Mike,
Definitely no Carnets in Europe. If you've got a green card for insurance bring that otherwise you'llneed to purchase insurance at the some of the border. It's mostly pretty cheap but beware: Macedonia is €50 (alot but worth it - great country!) and Serbia is €150 (definitely, in my humble opinion, not worth it! It doesn't appear you're going there but just in case. Montenegro is part of the EU so any EU insurance will suffice but Albania isn't so it's about €11. Enjoy these 2 countries in particular - they're fantastic! If you want any other info about requirements in some of the countries in south eastern Europe/Balkans feel free to visit the 'Border info' page on our blog here Feel free to get in touch if you any questions. |

+1 You definitely don't need a Carnet. Also Bobduro is spot on with his prices. You may also want to get a green card (insurance) that covers all countries in EU and EE-17. Check out MotoTouring in Milan or you might be able to get you the green card but note most insurance companies don't include Albania, Serbia, Montenegro and a few others. However if you can buy the Green Card in one of these countries or even Bulgaria or Hungry they are usually included and it works out a LOT cheaper. I would post details but I couldn't put my finger on them... will drop another post if I find the info. |

As always, such a good response from the very friendly Hubb users. Cheers for the info. Mike |
Montenegro is not part EU for now. If you buy green card you can driving Serbia and Montenegro without pay anything. Have nice trip and enjoy:thumbup1:
