Cancel Vehicle stamp in PP & exit Honduras without bike..?

Anyone know anything about what I may need to do if I fly out of Honduras for a couple of months without my bike. I am planning on leaving it for a while then returning to continue on my trip to Panama. I believe I'll have a passport stamp showing I rode my motorcycle into the country. I just am not sure if I will get hassled about it when leaving honduras.

Paul do have any advice for crossing the dreaded Honduran border? I'll there next week and want to be armed with all possible info.

Hi Steven, my advice would be to go to a well used crossing. I waited for over 3 hours for another non Honduran vehicle before giving up and paying the rip off. It seems that the solo traveller on a slack day is the one most at risk so go mob handed. Best of luck, Mike.

My advice is exactly the opposite. I crossed at El Florido, near the Copan ruins and was through in about an hour for less than $20 US. This is a very small crossing, but with enough tourist traffic to the ruins that they know how to process foreigners. No matter where you go, it seems like it just depends on what mood the officials are in.
