Canadian Bike Insurance
 

I am entering Canada at Vancouver this week and need to know how and where I can get insurance for my bike. Do I have to have a valid insurance certificate with me when I cross the border? If so, are there convenient places along the way or can anyine recommend a good company's website or contacts?

Check the answers to your other posted question. You are probably already covered with plenty of insurance if you bought such for the USA while in the USA. There is an agreement among north American insurers that says that auto/bike insurance bought in either USA or Canada is valid for both countries ( NOT for Mexico). If you bought it while still in the UK you might have a wonky policy , but I bet they too cover both US and Canada for the same price of liability cover.You should have a small pink slip with the insurance policy info in your wallet
When you cross into Canada nobody is going to ask anything about insurance. It is expected you have it . Only if you get stopped by police for , say , a minor speeding ticket will you be asked immediately for proof of insurance. You better have it or then the problems begin!
