It is a less than 5 year old Triumph Tiger sold in North America.
Recognising that there would be differences one would think/hope that they would be slight.
OR:: Ireland wasn't as regimented as the UK and some European countries.

So far as emissions are concerned, normally there are no differences at all for motorcycles EXCEPT for the compliance sticker.

Unfortunately, the compliance sticker is the one thing that you have to have. No-one ever sticks a probe up the tailpipe to see whether or not the bike is healthy, they just look for the compliance sticker.

It is possible that there may be differences from country to country in how strictly the vehicle inspection (prior to registration) is carried out. But, keep in mind that you would be doing an importation in addition to a normal re-registration, and that will probably bring with it some additional checking.

This website might be a good place to start your investigation: Importing a vehicle into Ireland, although I don't think the authors of that web-page envisioned imports from outside of Europe.

In Estonia this can be done online, as long as both parties have Estonian e-resident cards (50 euros and a visit to an embassy or a police station inside Estonia) or national ID cards. Plate stays with the vehicle.

Foreigners can buy a vehicle in Estonia, BUT you need a local resident to go on the registration as a "responsible user". You'll still be there as the owner, of course, and you can put several people as allowed users on the reg.

No regular/annual vehicle tax at all, you just pay the registration fees.

Inspections are issued for up to 3 years on newer vehicles (up to 10 years old), for 1 year after that. Would be quite difficult to actually fail an inspection on a bike.

Insurance - hard to say exactly, but for me liability-only was ~40 euros for 8 months. Includes free green card (valid throughout most of Europe).

Almost all classified ads and most used-bike dealer offers are visible on mototehnika.ee - motorcycles and powersport vehicles, or auto24.ee - new & used vehicles for cars. It's also possible to import a bike from elsewhere in the EU for not much money - mobile.ee is a local front-end for the EU-wide mobile.de site and will quote you a final price with delivery to Estonia.

I read the thread, most posts are pre-covid or older. what is the current 2022 status of both rego with NCTS and wheatwhacker? I have found several acceptable bikes on DoneDeal, and would gladly buy before arriving in DUB in August.
