buy the truck in England or in US? what's your opinion?
 

We have about 3 weeks to decide if we want to buy a landcruiser in the USA and ship it to the UK and begin our trans African trip from there or just buy it in the UK. Buying it in the USA might be cheaper and easier? What do you think? Is it going to be possible to get a truck in UK with left side steering? Do we have to pay tax on the car if we buy it in the UK? What other kinds of fees other than the 1000 to have it shipped might we be hit with if we send it to the UK? Is the Carnet easier and cheaper for us to get in USA or in the UK? Would it be easier to buy the truck in the USA as far as the paperwork, registration etc. goes? We hoped to sell it in South Africa. Is this a possiblilty since we have to have a carnet de passage? We are in a pressed-for-time state of unsurety and would love some experienced advice. thanks (sorry for the barrage of questions)
