Aussie living in Canada buyingh a bike in Seattle
 

Hi all, I am trying to get my head around how to go about this the best way. I am an Australian (with a full Aussie motorbike license) living in Canada for the next year or so, spending some time in LA for work. I want to buy a fz6 in either Seattle or Portland because it is 30% cheaper than up here in Vancouver.

My question is should I buy it and then import it into Canada, (and if so, how easy is this) or can I register it in either Washington or Oregon (and also insure it) using a Cali mailing address of a friend (or the sellers address)
