3rd Party Compulsory Insurance for m/c.
 

Apart from from my problems getting a Carnet from the Irish AA, now the Irish insurance companies won't insure anyone who has not been in the country less that 2 years (Carol Nash) or 3 years (Hibernian). Does anyone know if ADAC's Green Card insurance, available from Knopf Tours via this site, will suffice to keep the authorities happy? The last thing I want to do is buy a m/c & then get sent off the road because it's not insured properly.
I phoned the Garda info line & they said it was OK but when I asked for written confirmation, they were ambivalent.

Green card is green card. Just make sure it's not invalidated for any country you want to visit.

I used a Turkish GC on an NZ registered bike. The Greeks and Spaniards were happy with that.
