West África. Spain to Cap Town.

Hello to everybody, it's my first message in the HUBB.
Sorry for my basic english, I'm learning it.
I'm seeking travellers to going together, while that be possible.
I'm going to set on to Cap Town from Spain, in first April 2017 or atleast I'll try it.
I'm 58. Married so far. Economist, self employer.
Bike; Yamaha xt 600e Rtw, range about 550 kms. Very good conditions to long trip.
No carnet (CDP). Visas at home, Angola, Nigeria, Entente countries and RDC.
For south african travellers, I can help them if they want send bike to Spain first. I Offert myself to help in paperwork, staying and all things that they would need. After in SA, I'll need the same of them.
I live in Irún, Basque Country, north border whit France.
I have enough experience, many broken bones. I'd ride for many years, on enduro bikes, around Spain, Portugal, Marroc, Libya, Túnez, Argelia, but that don't mean any, this trip is different to me, it has been a dream for long time.
I'm available for any question.

Regards for everybody.

Hola Eloy. Good luck with your travel. I will try to do the same between September 15th - Oct 1st. Keep us posted on your progress if you can.

Hi 777,

Since I am planning the same route down the West coast to CT what kind of road conditions have you so far experienced. What and where was the worst in terms of soft sand, gravel etc. I plan to do it with my old GS Adventure which might be to big (for me at least) but cannot afford buying a smaller bike for the purposes of that trip. So... I would appreciate your answers and possibly - encouragement. Thank you and good luck with your travels. Do you publish any of your experiences? Many thanks!

Hello, sorry answer too later
I did it. I'm in Cape Town now and tomorrow back at home. The bike I left here. I don't know still, what I'll do with It. It is available for a rider.
Degregovi, if you want travel safe, akways there is a tarmac road in the way, more or less longer. Don't worry for It, road is not will be the main problem.
Each day is a journey itself and the only goal is, end in good conditions you and the bike.
Don't think about next day.
Never ride at night. Care yourself and the bike, every day. Ride prudent everytime
Like you know, the most difficulty is to set on.
I wish you have a good luck, i was a lot . Regards

Hola,
