UK to Morocco Mid Sept for 4 weeks
 

Hi!
I've booked four weeks off work to (motor)bike from the UK to Morocco, leaving the weekend of the 14th September, returning 11th ish of October.

General plan is to go from Plymouth / Portsmouth - Santander / Bilbao, ride through Spain, ferry to Morocco and then a ride around the Atlas and the edge of the Sahara and back trying out the pistes in Chris Scott's book, taking a few days to get back to Santander / Bilbao via the coast of Spain.

Looking for anyone interested in coming along or who will be in Morocco at the same time to meet up for a beer.

I'll be on my KTM950 Adventure with my wife on the back who’s also up for an adventure.

Some background on us… We’ve both been around the world back packing, been around Europe on my road bike and had several trips on the 950 over the last couple of years. I’ve done a lot of green lane-ing around Devon on my 525 and some on the 950(!) so am looking forward to our first big trip in the dirt out of Europe. I’ve got a day job but also run a microbrewery and my wife looks after children.

Dates are fixed unfortunately, but the rest is flexible.

Hey ! Like the sound of your trip , I very rarely come on here but thought i would as my "date" is looming and must start doing some prep as i have no ideas !

Leaving Reading UK for Morocco via spain and perhaps portugal ..... 1st Sept for 4 weeks or so...

Love motorcycles love adventure just as much , travelling alone leaving a long suffering girlfriend at home !

Had a big trip planned few years back but enduro accident detached my retina and was deemed unfit by the girlfriend .... fair point ....

Anyhow would like to meet up. ah old XL650 transalp held together with zip ties gaffer tape and hope ....
