uk to Istanbull and back early Sept 2010
 

Hi, anyone wanting to join in on a trip to istanbull by motorcycle.
We will be leaving early Sept for about 16/18 days in total.

Route is fairly flexible, along with the dates, but we would like to spend more time exploring the Baltic Countries, and definatly want to try both the Transalpina and Transfargen.

Will stay mostly in B&B, guest houses etc, will take a tent as last otion.

As I write this there will be me and one other on a motorcycle also, be nice to make it 3/4 in total.

You are welcome to join in for the whole trip or ride along as you like etc.

Having Motorcycled around most of Central Europe, we will try to get the boring/motorway bit out of the way, then take it easy, if something takes your fancy, just stop.

How are you going to get there ... As most insurance issued in the UK will only cover you for EEC country's ... I've found that out planing my next trip ... As turkey is not in the Eu ... As well as a few other's round there ... You don't need me to list them off ... Or if you have managed to get some kind of top cover ... Where did you get it from ... As I have been looking for a company that will top my insurance for the Balkan's ...

My Ins company will issue a green card for turkey, and others think you can buy insurance on the border for MCD and Albania, all others appear to be ok for
