Trans America Trail summer 2018
 

Anyone up for the TAT next summer? I am completely flexible, my only stipulation is that I will travel east to west. I can take time off from work so I prefer not to rush through it. I would prefer to camp most of the time. I used to live in Colorado so I would not mind spending some extra time there and doing additional riding in the mountains.

I am interested, as I planned to do the TAT next year anyway. But I will be moteling it.

East to West is fine with me. I live on West Coast, but it really doesn't matter.

I have two bikes to choose from....'17 CRF250-RALLY, or '17 V-Strom 650XT.

Both are "built" for this kind of riding.

I could be interested, East to West is fine. Actually would love to extend this to Baja Mexico. Not sure yet which bike I'd take, maybe will ship xt660z.
I'm in Europe at the moment.

Motels are fine on a bad weather day, but unfortunately I can't afford to motel it every night for an extended period.

Tremens, where do you stay in Europe? I keep a F800GS in Germany and I will be riding to HU events: Sep (France) and Oct HUMM (Spain). Will you be around to possibly meet up?

I also keep a DR650 in the US and the long term plan is to do the TAT east to west and then eventually make my way through Baja and Central and South America. My work is flexible so I will probably do the trip in bits and pieces. We should check and see if our plans match up.

This sounds like fun. I want to do it on a 400 DRZ. My plan would be to camp some and do hotels once in a while.
