Starbucks ADV RIDERS
I landed by airplane in Bogota, Colombia last year to begin an easy tour on older Honda motorcycles down the west cost of South America, and then up the east coast to BA.
In the 170 lbs of luggage the fellow traveler was carrying were packets of coffee. I remember saying something negative about Starbucks coffee, his new coffee cooker and cooking stove, given that we were to stay in upscale hotels the entire South America journey, and his reply was, "I need my good morning coffee." My reply was, "Hey, in what # 1 coffee growing country in the world do you think we are now?" The answer was something akin to, "Maybe at this Colombia Marriott Hotel they don't have good coffee, like Starbucks quality." A free look at the "Adv Dumb and Adv Dumber" column is here on page 26: https://www.citybike.com/back-issues...eptember-2017/ When we ended his shortened journey he booked us in a Hilton sister hotel close to one of the 13 or 14 Buenos Aires Starbucks coffee shops. I used to live a few blocks away from a "biker" who would would haul out a big bike to go 5 blocks to his favorite biker bar. To each his/her's own.
