South and Central America Aug '04-'05

My name is Jake and I live in Chicago. I plan to leave for a year long trip throughout North and South America beginning in August of 2004. I will be doing a figure 8 around both continents and will visit every country along the way. The only ones I might skip would be the Guianas but if money allows I want to tour them as well. I will be doing this trip alone as I cannot find anyone crazy enough to embark on this journey with me. I would love to meet as many other travellers as possible on the road so if you are going to be travelling around the same time let me know. If you post your email address I will be happy to send you my itinerary. Keep safe and happy travels, Jake

Jake,
My name is Dai and I live in Portland. I will be going to school during the fall in Argentina and have been planing on doing the trip but am looking for someone to travel with as I do not think it is wise to do it alone. I'm looking to leave a little earlier than August. What do you think?

Presently I'm in Indiana. Might join up with you in Costa Rica where we keep a place. I just bought an Africa Twin down there and I'm looking for any reason to go down there and ride. At least when you come through Costa Rica you could probably stay at our place. We are not far from the Pan America Highway.

Hi all,

I got fired last week http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif So now I'm happy cause I can go on the road again. I did a Canada - USA tour during 3 months five years ago. Now I want to go south.

I will leave Montreal, Canada in mid-september for a trip around central and south america.

I plan on going to the Copper Canyon Meeting in Mexico than go south.

As I see, there is going to be a few people on the road next fall. That's good !!!

Hi Jake,
I'm in Seattle and tentatively planning a trip to Central & South America departing near mid August. I can't travel for one year - you lucky guy - but looking to ship home in January from Argentina or Brazil. When would you be heading south of the US border. Let's talk and compare time lines.
Regards,

Torria

Jake,
Just back from the Arctic Circle via the Yukon and the BMW national in Spokane. Resting in Wisconsin then headed east and then west. Need to get my shock rebuilt in LA, then south of the border in September. No set plan but headed for Patagonia eventually early '05. Where the heck are you now? Anyone else going with you? Bill.
