Panama City PANAMA ship or ride
 

I will be in Panama City approx Feb 15th after a month trip south from Arizona with two other amigos. They are continuing to S.A. But I have to fly back to USA for 2 weeks. When I return I want to ship or ride with someone back to Arizona or Texas…I promised my wife I wouldn’t solo south of Mexico and I’ve run out of forgiveness

My advice is to just take a cheap KLR650 with your friends, or maybe a cheap (2001-2005) bmw f650gs and advertise here on the HUBB in the for sale section for $1000 or $500 in Panama.

Just fire sale it in Panama.

After you have crossed those Central American borders once by motorcycle, you will have no desire to do it again in your life.

If you are heading north from Panama by yourself then are you breaching the promise that you gave (or is that why you are out of forgiveness)?

So you have some choices:

1 Take her as your pillion then you wouldn’t be solo.
2 Ask your friends to wait for a couple of weeks in the Panama area and you’ll rejoin them and continue south
3 Join up with other people going south
4 Tell her you have done numbers 2 or 3

I just got back from a loop around CR, I chose not to enter Nicaragua but it was possible. Should be clear sailing after that. BRing whatever shot record you might have
