Old Summer road (Road of Bones) to Magadan anyone?
 

I am looking for an experienced tough rider (not necessarily a Russian bear or maybe yes) or a small group of riders to join me (or I join them) in an attempt to ride the Road of Bones - Old Summer Road this August 2020. This Road seems to be very difficult, and NOT advisable for a 'sane' solo rider. I will be traveling from Europe and would like to meet somewhere at the beginning of the Road of Bones at that time. I plan to continue to the US from Magadan. I do not know how yet, but am looking for any possible option available. Thank you.

Interesting idea, I'd like to do this road too before it will come not ridable...

The P504 Kolyma Highway (AKA the Road of Bones) was rebuilt between Yakutsk and Magadan in 2008 and all the bridges replaced, so it is rideable all the way, and should stay so for some years to come. However it is dirt road and can get pretty claggy when it rains. Only the Old Summer Road between Kyubeme and Kadykchan remains unrepaired and it is an extremely challenging 400 kms stretch best not attempted alone or unskilled.

I sort of fancy it...one day.

It’s something I’m interested in but with the current climate it’d have to be 2022. I will keep an eye on this post.
