Northern California to Argentina on KLRs
 

Me and a traveling buddy of mine are heading south in early December via Baja...Plan on spending a month in Mexico to wait out the rainy season in Central America....Anyone else planning anything similar around this time?

I am no looking at leaving NYC sometime in January and spending a month in Mexico having fun and then a month in Guatemala studying Spanish in th alpine region where I think the rainy season is not as strong. Then head south ....

I have been researhing weather issues, because I cannot make the standard departure window of Sept-Dec. It seems that Central Am doesn't reaaly get hit with heavy rain/humidity until May/June/July. Others here have said that even during the rainy season it is just a matter of waiting out passing storms during the day.
