Motorbike in the Himalaya July anyone ?

I was planning to do this trip in 2018 but an opportunity has come up that I can get time off to do it this year. Maybe next year too, but shhh dont tell the wife just yet !
No huge amount of logistics to sort really ..... I would plan on flying into Delhi, hiring a Bullet and heading north.
Shimla, Leh, Kardung La, Mori plains, Rhotang, Zanskar, Pangong lake ? whatever comes my way.
Would rather be doing quality miles not quantity just for the sake of it. Plenty of stops for pics, culture, chai, maggi noodles. A couple of days off.
No pressure to be anywhere at any specific time except maybe to allow a day or two contingency for the return to Delhi for the flight home.
I would rather some company to share the experience, thrills, spills and memories. If you are interested then maybe good idea to meet up for chat, put some meat on the bones and get the maps out ?

oh, forgot to mention I would probably be angling for a day off in Shimla to do the old toy train ! Big boys toys eh !!!

Sounds like a good trip, I just did two up on a rented Indian 220cc it was great. (no enfield envy- I never broke down!) we did a month around the north east of the country and it was a experience never to be forgotten. You have the right attitude, just go and see how the route shakes out, India never likes too much of a plan!
