Morocco in Feb / Mar 2017

Hello all,

I am thinking of planning a trip for Feb/March 2017, probably aiming for Morocco. Be nice to get a biking fix and some sunshine when the weathers grim here in the UK. I ride a 700 Transalp, would like to do some of it off road but I've next to no experience so nothing too hardcore. Done loads of Euro trips in the past, be good to hit another continent, albeit only just !!

Thought I'd trhrow is out there see if anyone else interested ?

Lee, Essex UK.

Bump

I was going to write another post but I thought I'd bump this in case anyone may bite. Really want to get planning but don't really want to go on my jack jones, especially the off road parts.

This time of year something to look forward to makes the long dark nights a little easier to take, I bloody hate winter.

Maroc

I might still be in Morocco at the end of Feb, I'm planning on spending the winter there, end of Dec til end of Feb, I normally travel solo so it would be good to do some exploring with another bike. What dates are you looking at?

Dates

None specifically, I'm self employed so to a point I can do as I wish. Maybe second half of Feb would be good.

Maroc

I should be still south of the Atlas by mid to late Feb, Ouarzazate (Ait ben Haddou), Taliouine or maybe as far as Tata or Tafraoute, keep in touch as it gets closer to the date.

I was thinking about Morocco as well in February for about 2 weeks.
Self employed as well so flexible. Would be leaving from Krakow, Poland.

Morocco

Hi,

I do like to join you in Feb/Mar. I only have to fly back for one week at the end of Februari because planned skiing. Are you travelling on backpackers or hotel budget. I don't think there is to arrange a lot of visa stuff to go to Morocco.

I would like to join you with the ride to Morocco, but my plan is going further to Gambia and then come back.

I prefer trips around 300 - 400kms a day.

I am from belgium so it seems best we meet somewhere along the trip.
I prefer contact trough E-mail. Rudi_Nuyens@hotmail.com

Here you soon.

Best regards,

Rudi Nuyens

Morocco

Hi,
Me as well am planning a trip to Morocco and further down to Senegal. I live in France and planned to leave about 1 st of march 2017.
Not a bad idea to travel (some time or longer) together. When passing France down south you could easy stay overnight with me.:welcome: I live near Cahors.
Same idea of travelling, no hard core off-road because lack of experience (except many many years ago!). Way of travelling: budget hotels / chambres d'hôtes and camping. Riding on a BMW GSA. No real hurry, when needed no problem. I have to be back in Tanger 3rd of may!
Contact me when you like the idea to join.

Edwin
