morocco in april 2014

I will be doing a desert riding week with the dirt girls but would love to head off and explore morocco for another few weeks after doing this.

Plans super loose but it'd be great if people wanted to meet up, or join me for the ride in morocco. Can put heads together for a route.

Im currently going for my das - have a licence for a 125cc only. Need to sort that out. (Test in October). And im starting enduro biking so will have at least 5 weekends of enduro before i head to morocco and 6 months road experience unrestricted.

Im a 34 female - former london roller girl, last rode around northern thailand, happy to be out pushing my comfort zones but definitely not a liability. Really want to explore Morocco, happy to wilderness camp, head to festivals, and have been travelling all over for years. Looking at hiring bikes rather than motorbiking across (just because of my annual leave restrictions).

Morocco adventure

Hi - I'm up for part of this. I was going to ride solo to Morocco and explore. Happy to meet up when you are there and see what the country is about. I'm an experienced traveller, biker, practical, reliable, adaptable and up for anything that is different and stretching. Wild camping and cooking under the stars is fine. I am older than you but pose no threat, it's biking buddies I'm after.

Morrocco April/May 2014

Hi hootchy_cootchy & Wazzo & Frank1

I'm also looking to notch up a quick trip to Morrocco in April/May 2014 possibly with a few mates, camping etc sounds good. I'm on a heavy 1200 GSA so nothing too adventurous just yet - mostly tarmac/firm track rather than sand, or maybe a quick play!
Only just bought a map so havent looked at routes but it'll be a tough call between reaching into the Atlas range or heading for Western Sahara?! Thinking of just blasting down from N France port to Spain (or maybe Bilbao/Santander ferry) with perhaps just 7 days in country.
I reckon it'd be great to get a few experienced 4x4 travellers to come along too - it'll take a bit of coordination but nothing a bit of military precision cant sort! Any takers out there? ?c?

Cheers

Mark

If I can get all planets in alignment , maybe with a little leverage, I'm interested.
I'd like to get the ferry to Santander, and ride from there, and try the tunnel on the return leg.2 more things I've never done before.
Not much of an off roader but the wild camping appeals.
Let me know,
Mick

fraussie tagging along

Hi guys,
I am planning the same trip as well. I am still undecided if I book a tour or go solo. Both options are tempting. I have quite an extended experience in dirt biking by living in Burkina, Quebec and Australia where I live for the last 10 years. I will be in Marrakech on the 29th April and leaving Marocco on the 10th May. Free to ride anywhere in between with most of the time in Atlas. Let's keep this thread alive and see who's in when we'll get closer to the dates.
