I could be up for this.

Do you have anymore details?

TheWarden 14 Jul 2022 12:04

I'll be out Sept through to December, in a landcruiser though. Come and say hello if you see me.

Also available if you need a guide or support vehicle ;)

badou24 15 Jul 2022 09:45

Thanks for the offer ! but as i have done maroc many, many times i dont need a guide ! ( the only place that has escaped me is Figuig ! ) :palm::palm::palm::palm: K

TheWarden 15 Jul 2022 12:24

I though as much ;) I'm wandering across to Figuig with a group in November and taking in a few of the interesting sites hidden out on the Rekkam.

Trying to find a forgotten monument to a foreign legion battle that's rumoured to be near the border

badou24 24 Jul 2022 11:13

That sounds interesting............. good luck !
Can you still cut the corner on n10 and pass through Algeria ?

Tim Cullis 24 Jul 2022 11:45

Since the massive road renumbering in 2018 that Google Maps has totally ignored, the N10 is now the N17. You are right that Google Maps appears to show what it calls the N10 passing through Algeria, but that's not the case on the ground. Openstreetmap shows the N17 road staying within Morocco, as well as numbering it correctly.

The 2019 version of the Reise Knowhow map of Morocco shows both new and old road numbers.

Can’t do this Autumn but I’m up for a tour in the Spring. Reasonably experienced but nothing too extreme as I’m getting on!
Ducati Multi Enduro. Looking for some early interest.

I am keen to develop a plan for this year (other commitment next spring).

Need to know who is around and what approx dates. Likely meeting places. What sections as a group and others individual.

Do we develop a prospective group then consider details together?

Good day everyone!

I´ll be in Tarifa from around mid October and need to be in Agadir by mid November to pick up a passenger for a trip further south (not sure yet, how far south, Cape Town is the goal, but not at every cost (time, risk, ...))

I´d be in for some company along the way from Tanger via Atlas and eastern routes to Erg Chebbi. No routes set yet, open for suggestions. With a like minded (kite)surfer, I´d consider the coastal route down south, too,but would prefer a trip into the hinterlands...

First time in Morocco for me. Off-road and travel experienced enough to know what I and the car won´t do and how to avoid digging out of problems.

I´m (m45) driving a S2a Land Rover 109 Diesel, so highway speed is below 100km/h and speedy dune activities are limited.

Just reply via this forum or honk your horn, once you pass a smurf colored Landy in southern Spain.

Bye!

That´s a nice loop, but 1-2 weeks too early for me. I´ll be on my way through the Pyrenees by then, I guess.

Andrew66 8 Sep 2022 10:24

I am happy to meet up say 16/17th in Midelt to go over the Atlas. I will do the coast then to Marakech first then across to Midelt.
Or I could take a ferry a week later.

Andy
