From Mongolia to Tianjin (China) in July 2016
 

Hi everyone,

Starting in April 2016, I will be driving from Holland to China together with two friends. We all drive our own motorbike and we are planning on crossing Turkey, through many -stan countries and the Pamir mountains, into Kazakhstan and Mongolia. From there, we are planning on driving to Tianjin (a bit past Bejiing) to ship our motorbikes back to Holland. We are hoping to take a day to visit the Chinese wall on the way. These few days driving through China are very expensive (due to obligatory guide etc) and we are now looking for other travelers to join us, making it much cheaper per person.

We expect to enter China beginning of July 2016 and to take roughly 5 days. Would anyone be interested in joining us for this trip? Both motorbike and car travelers are welcome!

Keep an open mind on the guide story, it has been challenged as regards whether it was ever legally mandated and in any case may be explicitly rescinded by the time you travel. Scour the posts for lots of valuable insight into China. No bikes on the expressway etc.
