Mexico in February, 09
Crossing into Mexico near McAllen, Texas around first of February, 09. Plan to go to Belize, Guatemala and return to cross at Presidio, Texas approx first of March. Two males, mid-60s, riding a V-Strom and a BMW. Not camping unless no other choice. Anyone going our way?

Hi Guys, also mid 60s, also on a BMW presently in New Brunswick but should be loitering in Mexico by the start of Feb. If you drink beer and fancy a join up give me an e-mail.
p.s. I am not carrying a tent and don't intend to until I reach Vancouver on the way north. Ride safe. |
Add another to the 60's group that's interested in going to Mexico.
Keep in touch. Harold |

Just a thought, do you think we should recruit a couple of youngsters to carry the panniers from the bikes to the hotel rooms and visa versa?

The first round is on me
Hey there
I'm not quite 60 but I definitly feel like it some mornings. I did a trip from Phoenix to the Canal last Jan on a 1981 GL500 Silverwing with three friends. This year my wife and I will be two-up on my Suzuki 650 Vstrom. We're just doing three weeks down the west coast from Phoenix to Barra de Navidad, then on to Colima, Lake Chapala back around to Tepic and north to Phoenix. I'll keep checking this site and hopefully we canhook up along the way for a beer. But no, I won't carry your panniers! |
Mex City
If you want to come to Mex City we are more than happy to put you up and show you around. my email is garrydymond @prodigy.net.mx I normally meet people just outside the city and guide them in. We did a short trip in May to Guate and Belice so can give you some advise on that. We mostly get hardy European and Australians coming to visit us but am sure you guys could also survive the Mexico City experience.
I am hoping to have some Tshirts pretty soon that should say something like "garryhostal.com Mexico City's Motorcycle Travellers Resort- Invitation Only" So if you want one my place is the place to get it. |
We may take you up on your offer
Hi There
