It looks like I´m going to be in your neck of the woods this coming weekend. I´m in Tuxtla Gutierrez tonight, hopefully Puerto Angel tomorrow, Oaxaca or further if possible the next day. I was planning to ride around the northeast side of Mexico City and hit Mex 85 at Pachuca. Don´t want to get any closer to Mexico city than that since I´ve been there on a bike several weeks ago and once is enough. I´d probably need good directions for a place to meet and would just try for a reasonable time. I have to find an internet cafe to communicate, but they´re everywhere at least until you need one. I realize this is pretty iffy, but at this point it´s the best I can do. I could really use someone who speaks English and knows the area and how to get past Mexico City with minimal traffic hassles. I live way out in the country in southern Colorado and Mexico City is some serious culture shock.

I live in Mex City and ride everyday. Give me a call at 55-91186565 or 55-58103447 and we can probably set something up. I don't work weekends and it is a good time to come into the city as there is a lot less traffic.

Hi Pippen, like i said, my bike is parked in puebla. i don´t know if i have time to set up a ride this weekend. i just recently did the ride you describe from puerto angel. i thought it was spectactular..wish i was with you doing it again. i do speak pretty good spanish and if there is anything i can do to help or if you would like to meet somewhere to chat or whatever i am available. you riding once in mexico city is once more than me and i do not know the roads here.. but i do know the city from a tourist or visitor standpoint pretty good.
Hi Garry.. thanks for your number.. i will call you and look forward to talking.. is that number the number you dial from mexico city?

Wyomex, I´m going to have to bow out before I ever got in. I´m having bike problems here in Puerto Angel and although not terminal, I´d rather keep up with things before they get terminal or at least expensive than to let them fester and end up like most of the population around here, beside the road with the hood up, so to speak. The last two days rides have been spectacular. If you know M190 and M200 from Palenque to Puerto Angel, you know what I´m talking about. If not, go ride it. The Dragon with Topes! Thanks for the invite, I´ll probably be going closest to your area Monday or Tuesday now if repairs are available here. I´ve got a recommendation for a good taller mofles in the next town just up the road, about 4 miles away. Perhaps another time.
