I am currently in Durango, Mexico. Making my way south slowly on my Dr650. Planning on crossing into Columbia in late February or early March if your keen.

Slowed Down

Thanks and safe travels. I went down in desert of New Mex and have an ankle injury - in a walking boot for 4 weeks. Plan on staying in New Mexico til after first of year to heal up in a cool town called Truth or Consequences - great spot to chill. Now heading for mex early January. Safe Travels to all traveling and all who read this. I went down going 10 MPH didn't see transition to sand. For other travelers anyone heading south of border from US after first of year post away.

Not sure if we can hook up some riding or not, but my bike is patiently awaiting my return to Los Angeles on the 8th of Feb...to ride Baja and then south to Ushuaia. I'm on a bmw g650x and just rode the CDR from bottom to Banff in July/Aug this year. Been thinking to ship bike and me to Colombia, but might be less expensive (and more hassles) to just ride straight to Panama and jump the gap?

Feel free to PM me if any of this sounds worth chatting about...I will have about 3months after Baja and of course the weather will be changing in the southern latitudes (i should know, I'm a kiwi) :mchappy:
