Looking for overlanders arriving in Cape Town
 

We are planning a trans africa trip and would like to speak to travelers who have recently finished, anyone up for a beer? We are planning the eastern route ending in cairo.

i know i am asking for help from someone who seeking help, but i am about to ourchase my ticket to s africa after a great run riding s america. where can i find more bikes to buy when i get on the ground, joberg or cape town? also, do you know if there are any reasonable options for longterm renting? its getting down to the last minute for me and i need to line up the options. thanks!

check out sub-saharan forum, theres a few threads on buying and renting bikes in sa. also check out motorad in sa for rentals, and when you travel through the north east.... call on martman for an ice cold frosty.

I will be riding from Cape Town to Cairo around the first week in July.
I will ship the bikes by air to Cape Town from Ireland and we plan to do the whole trip in 35 days.
Not sure if you will still be there, but being Irish we would love to meet people in Cape Town for a beer :)

I'm not sure when she's flying back, but you might catch Lois if you're quick.
