Iran September / October 2015 UK Motorhome
 

We're setting off on a drive to South Africa in August 2015 and we're looking for other people who'd like to join us for the Iran leg in late September 2015 to share the guide costs. You don't have to be motorhomers, we've travelled with land cruisers etc but we're not a 4x4 so have to avoid off road only routes. If anyone's interested then let us know.

My dates don't tally with yours I'm afraid, but I'd be interested to know what quotes you have had for guides. The best (only) quote I've had so far from a UK based agency was $210 per day - which I find unbelievable - it is about a month's wages for the average Iranian.

We've been quoted for a 30 day tour, guide in our vehicle $3830 and if he used his own car $5415 with Persian Tours in Iran.

Since posting at the weekend I found another agency that quote $90 per day which includes their fuel, accommodation and food Iran Travel Agency | Iran Tour Operator | Iran Tour Packages | Iran Tickets | Iran Flight Tickets

I'll have a look around this site to see if anyone has any experience of them.
