Holland. Belgium and France

Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone is going to middle France 2008.
We are planning to leave Sweden 23 may and go to:Bed & Breakfast 4 Bikers by Bikers

Located 3.3 miles NE of Treignac.
Just off the D16 Ideally located for further travel to Spain, The Midi Pyrenees, or the South Coast of France,or even the Rhone Alps.

Anyone who knows nice places to stay at? Have any kind of warnings about traffic or what ever..

Apriciate all answers.

Ride Safe!

Welcome, Wendy & Tony both long time bikers will be pleased to greet you, whether for a one night stop over, or to stay longer and explore the beautiful CORRÈZE region of Limousin...

I take it from your name you ride an FJR. If you leave a week earlier you could go to the FJ meeting in Holland. Try this url International Yamaha FJ Meeting 2008 Holland

Hi,
Great time to go: the traffic will be OK - August is the bad month, with the whole French nation on the road.

For accommodation, take a look in the new section/forum in here for recommendations - it has some for France.
Then have a read back over previous threads for this topic; do a search using any key word you fancy and it will show what others have already said about where to go, what to see and more about where to stay.

A small plea: when you have done your trip, let us all know how it went etc and make recommendations - put it all in, we all need help!!

Your English is fine BTW.

Cheers,

Holland is nice, but go not too the west!! me too busy...

Nice erea is the Veluwe (Hoenderloo)
Take the small road in Holland and you see how nice it is there.

This is odd, the quote has more info than the original message

I was going to say the "coupes moto legende" at Dijon is on the weekend of may 22/23 where you can see about 2000 old bikes parked and being ridden round teh racetrack there.
nearest good BnB I know of is at estissac near troyes.

camp sites in France

Hi
You could try this exclusive bike only campsite north of Clermont Ferrand Welcome to Camping Moto "Route 99" it is highly recommended in the journal des motards.
The journal des motards magazine includes a section of bars, hotels and campsites where you will receive a warm welcome. Most are run by bikers. Well worth joining at JOURNAL DES MOTARDS or i can send you an old copy of their magazine.
Have a good trip

Camping Moto Dordogne

Camping Moto Dordogne is a good place to make a stop. Nice place run by a Dutch couple, good fun and good athmosphere! You can camp but they have cabins and caravans also for rent. The Dordogne is a beautifull area to make some daytrips.

Welkom bij Camping Moto Dordogne

Have a good trip,

Rob
