great divide August second week 2015
 

SWMBO has given the OK, great divide it is.
montana to newmexico.
Will be purchasing a honda XR650L add a big tank and head to MT
Will ride probably down to Guatemala. copper canyon if anybody joins me
for the ride. GPSkevin maps and tracks, hotels, satellite phone and or spot...
global rescue or similar medical insurance for me but have not figured a similar type of assistance for the motorcycle. Have asked a couple of friends and will
ask some riders from el Salvador..... One friend from california will do the divide and head back to california....
I AM GOING!! care to join? I would not mind camping, but i have not camped out since the scouts several decades ago. I know there are a couple camps worth staying..... Will take a small tent and bag just in case....
I love dual sport and have an bmw r80gs a ktm 400 and an r1200r and a 125 two stroke road race bike..... at home in Guatemala.
I want to do the trails and gpskevin's layout is the best I have found. Kind of like sams, big dog and rawhide greatest hits compilation with maps and tracks... gps kevin rules!!
Will head straight to Guatemala unless some one knows copper canyon or wants baja. would consider alternate routes, such a belize, tikal Guate..
I am game.

Was in Guatemala in November, was one of the highlights of my Central American trip as was El Salvador. People were so good to me and took me everywhere,beautiful country and some interesting riding. If you are up here in Montana, am in Columbia Falls, feel free to stop over for a day or two and I can show you Glacier Park and whatnot.
