Coldfoot, Deadhorse
and back like that.

I am heading towards Fairbanks from Edmonton and should be there by TUE 9 SEP 2014.

This morning the forecast showed 8 Degrees in Deadhorse for MON and TUE, so the best it can be beg. of SEP.

Current plan:
6 SEP SAT Arrival Fairbank
7 SEP SUN arrival Cold Foot (400km)
8 SEP MON arrival Deadhorse (400km)
9 SEP TUE arrival Cold Foot (400km)
10 SEP WED arrival Fairbanks (400km)
Then have a break.

I will head to Fairbanks and wait a day or two if it is not possible, I go south.
Fallback solution is to go by car.

Weather forecast for the location in bold. Temp in Celsius. heard bad stories from a guy that was there last week. Should work out for me. I am not travelling allone.

... Did the Dalton HWY SUN 7SEP to WED10SEP....

what t say, LUCKY PUNCH, cold but sunny, astonishing view and the last artic tour to the purdahoe bay this season. the activity is only possible from spring onwards now.
Anyone thinking about Dalton HWY in SEP, check the local weather 3-4 days before and for Fairbanks, Coldfoot and Deadhorse, so you will see how it will be.

I checked with wetter.com: Wetter, Wettervorhersage, Wetterbericht, Reise, and it was quite precise what they forecasted.

Can be a desaster, or a lucky punch, Like i had.

I'm making that trip next year. I'm Curious to know your route from Edmonton to Cold Foot and how long. I'm a going via Seattle however, will be returning via Edmonton. Dead horse is my goal depending on weather of course. I should be OK in June.
