Looking for some place to go in September of this year.

What I'm after is the sun. So that's going south. Two or more week's out. Make the crossing at Dover. Tent or cheap hotel's, I'm easy. Some where round here?
Looking for another rider.

Plans may change due to work commitments but as things stand I'll be leaving Zurich on 11th September arriving in Sofia 14th or early 15th September. 1,000 miles, four days, no fixed plan but likely to travel via Serbia, maybe Bosnia too. If it fits your plans ...

Hi John what bike do you ride and do you just stick to Tarmac. I have done all that area above, but mainly 70% off road 30% tarmac, in fact I'm off there with 3 other lads from the UK next Monday. I also saw your Pyrenees post which I did in October, agian I have a 10 day mainly off road route from Santander and back again.

I'm tar mack all the way. No off roading for me. Ride a sports tourer. To get me there and get me around.

Hi John,
Rider from Southern California and points West of there returning for my third ride in Europe, planning to go in the vicinity of your map this year. My bike is hibernating near Frankfurt, I'll be retrieving it and heading southish late August with a nominal destination of Istanbul but I make up the route (along small roads) as I go. Maybe through those bits and pieces scattered about when Yugoslavia blew up. I mostly camp, or do cheap hotels, hostels and the like when I've been rained on too long. Gotta be back in Germany near the end of September.
Would be great to have traveling companion(s) of a similar mindset. I ride a 1150 GS and generally stick to paved or sort-of-paved roads.

Hi John, I'm going to be in Zadar, Croatia 17th September (the Mrs is flying home that day) I'll then be heading into Montenegro, Albania, Greece, don't need to be back at work until 15th October, and have no fixed plans apart from spending some time in the Peloponnese and Pindos Mountains, probably back to UK overland via Bulgaria,Romania, etc. You planning to be that way? Perhaps we could meet up for a cuppa for a yarn. john

I'm still alive. Just got back from 6 week in Spain and Portugal. Still sorting my self out. I have a load of job's to do round the house before I go next time. Still interested in traveling the map shown in post one. Looking for a rider to share cost' there and back. Idea would be to meet up some place and travel where ever. For as long as the money last's. Then come back. So if this is what you have on mind let me know.

We'll be driving Munich to Istambul and back from 08-29 September. 2 up on a trail bike, so expect 80% tar.

Have a job back home so will need to stick more or less to a loose schedule. expecting 200-300km/day on the way down with a few days rest thrown in, travelling the medditerranean coast.

Will be camping with the occasional cheap hostel. :welcome::Beach:

I have a ZZR 1400. So looking to power my way down to where ever I'm going. Then stay in a booked complex. Cheap hotel's on the way down. With the bike I have, off road is a no no. Most of the time I'm in to film's and camera work. Then put it all together when I get home.
