Entering Thailand
 

I was reading in the Bangkok Post a couple of weeks ago that the Thai Authorities were planing on banning all none Thai registed cars from entering the country, well I think that I will not be the only one that read this so I would like to tell others my findings firstly it would seem that the banning of foreign vehicles into Thailand is almost certainly aimed at the Chinese.The list below are the findings of the Thai Authorities about the Chinese

Convoys blocking roads
Leaving rubbish at beauty spots
Throwing rubbish from car windows
Driving without any licence
Leaving the scene of accidents
Driving to Thailand to obtain licence
Vehicle in dangerous condition
Vehicles overloaded
Transporting restricted food and drink products

So this is what is annoying the Thai's not genuine overlanders from all parts of the world. I have also just had a report today from overlanders at the Thai border with Loas that tell me that they had no problems crossing into Thailand

I hope this helps anyone thinking of entering Thailand and if I hear any change to this I will post it here.

Yep, same as, not heard nothing to say stopping overlanders. Checking Rideasia.com most days and nothing on there either
