Dia de Los Muertos

Anyone headed south for Dia de Los Muertos? I'm leaving on the 27th from Arizona. Or recommendations on the best colonial town to watch the festivities. Thanks

Looks like you are about a week ahead of me. Depending how far south you go we may still cross paths. Let me know where you land if you can. Cheers.

Santiago de Atitlan, across the lake from Panajachel (AKA, Gringo-tenango)

One of the best you will ever see. Takes place (like most of the good ones) in local Cemetery. Also, the town of Todos Santos is said to be quite a party. In the small town it's mostly indigenous folk, they celebrate for about a week, hanging out with loved ones graveside, offering favorite food and drink. Lots of Incense and Aquardiente.

Not sure where to go in Mexico, but do know it's quite a good party in Oaxaca.
You may see more commercial, tourist based Muertos events in Northern Mexico. Not as many indigenous folk. bier

Thanks Mollydog. Thats a bit far for me to get to in 4 days but I'm sure some adv riders could do it. Aguascalientes looks pretty good on google.
