I Google this name and it showed its a stock trading & investing company, nothing to do with banking. Am I looking at the wrong place? Can you give more details? PM me if necessary.

Thanks,

PS: I found a bank with the same name. Its located in the US and I am not sure if I can open an account with them as I live in Hong Kong.

I will be starting my trip in Juli 2012 in California. I want to buy a DR over there and make my way south.

Perhaps a mini HUBB meeting somewhere along the way????

Concerning learning Spanish, I will be doing volunteering work and learn Spanish by doing. I don't know a certain school.

Grz,

Lucien

I am currently in San Juan de Laguna and have found a language school and a family to live with. Wonderful place and the people are extraordinary. I highly recommend making the effort to get here and spend some time understanding the Mayan culture and learning the Spanish language.

It's wonderful you are doing this as I will be roaming around Baja by the time you cross the border.

Hope to see you on the road.

Hi Franki,
I am in San Miguel de Allende near Leon Mexico.I am heading tp Ushuaia.
I like it here so much and have met some awesome people that I will stay longer than planned. I may head to Mexico City then Puerto Escondido then to Tapachula and cross the border.I will cross from the west of Panama into Colombia. That is the plan but it is not carved in stone. I figure I will be in Tapuachula in 10 to 14 days.

Hi Clive,

I have landed in SFO and shall be working on my bike this weekend. Then I shall be moving slowly down to LA & SD as there are a few groups of riders that I have to meet. I shall not be crossing in Baja till Nov. 6. Everyone who has frequent Mexico told me how great this country is and asked me to slow my pace through. Therefore, if you are slow enough, we shall meet in Mexico somewhere.

Have fun,

Franki

Before you take that bike anywhere, be sure that you replace the idle shaft lever. I had the same bike when I started my world travels, and the isl broke in Slovenia, destroying the crankshaft assembly and almost my entire trip.

Anyone out there ever crossed the border at Nogales? I would like to know the early morning time passage to be expected. I really ne to be in Los Mochis by dark.

akbill 8 Dec 2012 12:26

Should not take more than 20 minutes at the most. The office is 21 kilometers south of the border. If you need to get money stop at an ATM before you get there.

Hi Growler........had to end our trip at Belize.....my riding buddy is diabetic and was having sugar level swings that were of concern so we made a gut wrenching decision to turn back....had to cancel the crossing with Ludwig.
Currently back in Muskoka Ontario after 14500 k of great travel through Mexico.
Wish you well on your trip....

happy new year to all! Just an update on where I am at.
Met a bunch of riders on Stalratte and some has become good friends and ride together for a while. Some will bump into on the road again down south. Currently I am about 2 km near the equator in Ecuador. The trip has been amazing and full of stories. Stayed in a hotel that is by the equator to celebrate new year with seven other bikers. Had a great time. The place is called Hacienda Guachala, wonderful old hacienda that is more like a museum and each room has it's own fire place. It's well worth the money for a bit of R&R during an extended travel like this. will keep on heading south on an easy pace.:funmeteryes:

If you are on the road in the general direction, please send me an email if you like to meet up. Yansermc@yahoo.com

California licensed, 2007 Red KLR650 with full touring options will be completing a tour down to southern part of S. America. Would like to sell it to fly home. Anyone planning to ride the other way around should take at a look. Bike has gone through extensive maintenance to prepare for a very long trip, including changing out all the bearings with top quality brands plus at least 15 other modifications to make it trouble free for many miles. Bike is expected to have 40,000 miles on the clock when the trip is done. Top care has been done to keep the bike in good running order.

Anyone interested should contact me buy email: yansermc@yahoo.com. Bike should be ready to hand over around middle of March, 2013.

I would like to sell the bike in BA or Santiago, Chile. It all depends on how the transaction can go.

I have not decided on a price yet as it depends on the condition of the bike when I sell it. I am thinking around the price of USD5000 with all e touring gears and even my carbon helmet and riding boots, plus whatever spare parts that I have bought for the trip.
