Anyone else heading south through Central America starting January? Getting a late start from Alaska around that time. PM me if interested in riding together any/part/all.

Looks like an awesome cannonball run. I'm taking 4.5 months for the entire trip, so I'll probably be going at a bit slower of pace. Leaving in January and heading as far south as winter allows. Good luck in the rally.

I hope to be flying in to Las Vegas, Nevada by January 31,2014 from Vancouver Island B.C..

My intention is to get my bike(in storage in a garage ) ready to enter Mexico by about Feb 10,2014.

I was planning to go into Baja Cal on my way to Cabo San Lucas onto Puerto Vallarta.

I have about 3 months to spend in Mexico, so I will have time to see and do things along the way.

I am on a KLR650.

Some basic info:

I have been to Mexico 12 times,
once through Baja California on a 3 week trip
with 5 others on similar bikes.(drz 400 BMW F650 KLR 650).

I have a reasonable ability/facility with Spanish and really enjoy Mexico,
it's people, the music, and the culture.

I am 57 and speak French,English, and Spanish.

I have been to 24 countries thus far.

We (Trans-Continental Mambo) are spending Xmas in Puerto Escondido (Oaxaca, MX) which is several days out from Guatemala. We are certainly open to hanging out and travelling with like minded people and should be in Guatemala before Jan 1st. We are on Suzuki DR650s with big clear (beige) gas tanks. Certainly flag us down if you see us, or send a PM.

In Mexico, we only have random wifi (stupid - should have bought mobile plan) but might get one in GT.

Olemeole: Sounds like you will be a few weeks behind me. I plan to cross over into Mexico around the middle of January and spend about a month there while heading south. Maybe we will see each other on the road. Buenos suerte.

I plan to leave Arizona mid January 2014 and travel on my KLR 650 to Central America and return mid March 2014

I plan to leave Arizona on 12 or 13 of January plus or minus. I will drive pickup with bike from Wyoming.

Am 63 and will travel with stops to see sites.

Ihave 12k on bikes this year in u..s. and Canada.

Hi:
I am in Santa Ana, El Salvador.
I retired from my engineering job in NJ, and left for Buenos Aires december 1st.
Mine is a one way trip, as I am going to settle in Argentina.
Hope to make it to Panama in a few days and then fly my bike, a Suzuki Vstrom, to Colombia.
So far I have been riding alone. I have not seen any other riders going south.
Hope to see somebody along the way.

I am living with my bike in my trailer in Baja. How sick is that ? Living north of Cabo. I may be ready to go out of here Jan 17 but it will take till Jan 25 th to get out of Puer:palm:to Vallarta area. But then it would be bugs on my teeth time again.I wouldn't be long getting to Chiapas and from there maybe to Belize , Guatamala, Tikal. I just wanted to get a sense of who is on the move.Riding A 2006 BMW 1200 GSA, not my first rodeo. Might be nice to trip with other riders awhile, i tend to blow by alot .

Jan 18/14 in Huatulco, Oaxaca State, on Hwy 200 a coupla hours out of Puerto Escondido and its many splendours. Rode down rom BC solo. Hoping to meet riders heading to some or all of the following: Yucatan, Guat, Belize, before I head back up to visit parental units in southern California mid-March 2014.
Riding an 1100 RT. Willing to hang out here in these parts for a little longer, or can meet you east of here.

I am in mazatlan. Will watch denver broncos here and leave toward guadalhara and mexico city oo on mond ay willhead towarad yor area. Would love company. Have met great people but riding by self is lonely. Sorruy for bad wtiting but I can't see the screen to correct errors. I try to check hubb in pm when get wi fi.
