Burma (Myanmar) India -> Thailand: Fall 2015

I am looking for other travelers heading east and wanting to
cross Myanmar sometime around the beginning of December
to the middle of December - to share the cost for the guide,
etc, which are required.

Looking to enter Myanmar near Imphal, and exit near Mae Sot

I am traveling solo on a motorcycle, though really others in
trucks, etc would work as long as we have the same goals.

Post up and PM me if you are interested :)

Cheers !

UPDATE - 22 Jul 15
******************************************

- trying to enter Burma around first week of Dec
- 16-18 day trip

We have a group of seven - and will be staying with
that number.

Costs are around:
- $1400 / person for 7 people

That includes: accom, breakfast each day, bottled water, English
speaking guide, guide vehicle, sightseeing assistance (vehicle, guide),
and all the permits. Double occupancy for room rates.

You need: Myanmar visa, travel/medical insurance, $ for lunch and
dinner, $ for sightseeing side trips you do.

Aussies 2up and interested....

Hi ...I have sent you and email. We would be interested in joining this group as we are planning a similar route around the same time.

agranado 6 Jun 2015 21:34

I'm also interested in joining! Hope there's still place for another adventurer.

I will leave The Netherlands 1st of August. In my current plans I'm at the border of Myanmar in last week of November. This is my overall planning and route:

From Iran and onwards I will be traveling solo. If someone wants to join the Pakistan part, let me know...

Atta 9 Jun 2015 14:34

Hi Agranado,
roughly the same time and route here (leaving Austria end of July). Do you have a tour company you're going with through Myanmar? When are you expecting to enter Pakistan? Would be great to cross Baluchistan together, I don't fancy going through there alone.

Cheers, Martin

Hi Martin. In all the paperwork I filled in I'm entering Pakistan on 6 October and entering India 21 October. Want to spent some time in the northern mountain areas.

Still have to work on the paperwork and tour company for Myanmar. I know a Dutch guy who did this route last year. He used Bright view travel. I'll just have to start googling and reading on the hubb about the myanmar crossing I guess.

But first finish changing the clutch on my bike as well...

I'll sent you an email with my contact info. I'm Peter by the way.

Hi all,

just posting back to keep the thread on top activity. As sais earlier, I'm interested to join a group crossing Burma around beginning december 2015. I'm not yet commited to an initial plan, so if they are alternativ ones, please keep me in touch if there still is any room.

Cheers

pheasant56 2 Jul 2015 20:27

Hi Arkean

My wife any I are still up for it too. We leave UK on 13th July heading East. Has anyone got prices etc?

Thanks

Arkean 4 Jul 2015 09:30

As far as I know, in a 6-7 ppl group, price can fall around 1700 USD pp for some 2-3 weeks guided tour, included overnight and breakfast. I know a french guy expatriated in Yangoon who runs a travel agency and willing to help me organize one if required, who might make a quote as well. But there are two groups being organized, first one from Accel, which I commited, but I have no news from him since about two month. Anyone have some update?

AccelRus 6 Jul 2015 05:27

Will send follow up e-mails re current plans in a few days...
