Bolivia in April / May

Hola riders

Am currently travelling with friend around Chile, Argentina on our Xt 600´s. My friend is going to be leaving in Late March and after that I still will have a couple more months to travel.

My question is:

Does anyone want to make the grand adventure with me to eastern bolivia. It is very remote out there and I dont think it wise to do it alone. the general time frame is around April / May, when the wet season has died down. Ive read that the route to eastern bolivia is intense, and tough, but once you get there, its like a whole nother planet. I am budgeting about a month to do all of bolivia, but would love to meet up with someone who wants to make the trek out to parque nacional noel kompff ( this place was the inspiration for arthur conan doyles ¨lost world¨) Anyway, its a hell of a journey that is best not done alone. Any Takers??? I am close to fluent in spanish, so if shit goes downhill, we can come up with a solution.

That all being said, a friend and I are starting now from santiago to ushuaia by rt 40, then north thrugh chile using carratera austral, then peru, then who knows... Anyone who wants to try to meet up send me a PM, im more likely to respond. Ok,rockers, keep on rockin, and somebody please come with me to one crazy ass part of this planet. Cheers

Bob

eastern Bolivia is not so remote as it was (what is eh). In 1986 it took me 3 weeks to ´drive´ from Corumbá to Santa Cruz and met no vehicles.
Last june it took me 2 days and saw too much traffic...Especially the big trucks make it a dusty experience.
They are busy asphalting it too.
