Bike Wanted South Africa (Johannesburg) Decmber 2023 for 6 weeks (dual sport )
 

HI I'm planning to fly to Johannesburg in December 2023 and would like to buy/borrow/beg/rent a small dual sport bike (e.g. in Mexico I used a Vento 250 CrossMax 250cc Dual-sport)

I plan to fly back in January so a buy-back or a rental might work best. (I expect that although i could quickly get a government tax number for me, it would take weeks to change ownership on the bike.)
I will probably go into Mozambique and Botswana but I'm still checking and planning.
Also keen to offer a bike swap in Ireland for a member in ZA if that helps?
Anyone know anyone who can help?
The bike needs to be capable of long slow travel and light enough to pick up in sand if it falls over.

Check out Sama Tours South AFrica. They offer guided tours, but also rent out motorbikes. I haven't rented any there, but compared the prices in SA and they seem to be the best bet.
