Anyone shipping to Asia from India soon?
Hello,
I am planning on shipping to Asia from India in the next few weeks most likly from Chenai to Bangkok. From threads read it appears to be a lot cheaper to ship 2 or more bikes at the one time so if anyone is in a similar situation and would like to ship somewhere that direction let me know. Chennai to Bangkok

I'm currently in Islamabad and looking to leave in the direction of India over the next few days. It might be a bit late for you, but I'm hoping to do the same air-freight route for my Dakar over the coming weeks (end of Nov/beginning Dec). A bit of background is that I'm planning to meet my girlfriend in Thailand at the end of December, and could do with getting to Bangkok a couple of weeks in advance at least. It would also be a good idea to get a line drawn in the sand with dates, to enable me to book my own passage upfront too. In this regard have already started sending out emails to try and get something in place re: air-freight before getting across to SE India. Missed the boat

I left Chennai a bit over two years ago...... So unfortunatly will have to miss out on this one. Not sure on air freight but I shipped to Bangkok fairly incident free and may be able to provide some contacts if I can rack my brain. Can you give us some more details as of who you used to ship, how long it toke and approximate cost. I'm leaving Oz in about 6-8 week on our way to Europe and looking at either flying to Nepal or ship/fly to Chennai would be great to get some more info on it Thanks Mark |

I am planning to ride in Asia (two people on two motorbikes) next year. Our plan is to go from Kyrgistan, through China (KKH) to Pakistan, then to India and after that to Thailand. I am looking for the possibilities to ship/freight the bikes through Bengal Bay. Initially I though about crossing Myanmar, but I know this is impossible. So, I understand that there is now other option than shipping bikes from India to Thailand. Could you guys please let me know if you have any contact with shipment companies which can help me with our bikes? I have seen that you have some experience in Chennai. Bike ship India to Bankok
I have the same prob. How to get over Myanmar and have considered hiring a truck....or flying from Nepal which I understand is relatively painless.
So if anyone is about that has some advice or wants to share let me know. nzl04 |
