All going well I'll be in Yadz on 8 or 9 Nov (heading west). I'll also be staying at the Silk Road Hotel. If you're still there see you then. Bummer about the helmet.

Hi Brett,
I'm in Tabriz now. Will probably head for the Caspian, as it's getting cold around here and I'm not equipped for that. Will have to go to Karaj in the next few days, when my parts hopefully arrive. What's your plan? |
Hey, just replied to your other post before seeing this one. I intend to go to Esfahan for a day or two and head to the Caspian on about 13 or 14 Nov. Not sure what to do when I get there. Wouldn't mind a bit of seaside camping. Making it up as I go along.
On the weather, 3 degrees celcius (after raining) as I crossed the desert leading up the snow-covered mountains between Shiraz and Yadz. Don't go that way if you've not got the gear. Or make sure you do it slowly during a clear morning. My back wheel slid a few times on the slimy road coming down the first range into the desert. I don't think they get much rain around there. cheers Brett |
My friends here tell me that it should be wet up there at this time of the year. So, I've decided that I'll head South for now, towards Esfahan. Do you already know where to stay there? Perhaps we can meet?
