Having come back from a UK to Cape Town run in Feb we spent alot of time saying "would it be possible to get through here on a sportsbike". We came to the conclusion that 95% of our journey was spent on surfaced road and attemptable with a sportsbike. Whilst the open desert roads would be irresistable, the animals and potholes of africa would make it a scary prospect! We settled for a kamakazi dash from UK to Dakar, for example, as a real prospect. Challenging, fast and exciting.
Think I'll just get back to planning my RTW trip instead:thumbup1:
