Alaska to Argentina - June 2017
Hey guys,
As the titles says, really! I'm hoping to be on the road in Anchorage by the 15th June, my journey will start with heading north up towards Prudhoe Bay. If anyone is riding the Dalton Highway around this time period it'd be great to ride together. No real solid plan after that apart from head south for a long time! So I'm open to ideas. Look forward to hearing from you guys. :scooter: |
I would like to leave Vancouver late Sept. or Oct /17 looking for some one to ride through central & south america with. I'm 69 yrs young, camping or motels does'nt matter to me.

Heading South late August
Plan to ride a few BDR routes through the states, Copper Canyon in Mexico and beyond taking my time on many back roads. CCM450cc bike.
Leaving from Alberta in September |

We are starting from Anchorage May 2018 and go to Ushuaia. Just doing a bit of planning at the moment.
One question came to our mind (and it´s a serious one!) "Why to go to Prudhoe Bay?" Is it just to say "Ok, done that let´s go SOUTH" from everything I read there is nothing really to see? More interested in the Yukon area and then up to Inuvik... but let me know please why we should not miss Prudhoe (except to say that we have been there...) ?c? |

We might head up the Dempster as well, but we will decide when we get to Dawson. |

I guess we all have different styles and reasons for riding. You're right though, it will be a lot more interesting on the way down through Canada. |
[QUOTE=Standec;562743]Sounds good. We are traveling rather slow (usually don't do more than 110 km/h on our WR250R's) and won't be doing more than ~300km a day. If that fits in your schedule you are welcome to join anytime!
Well, I'm riding a CRF250L so I'm not gonna be iron butting mega long days like some GS riders can. Sounds as though we have similar plans... I'll send my e-mail address across :) |

Inuvik can't wait to go back.
There building a road from Inuvik to Tuktoyuktuk. It's not officialy open till Nov. of this year. I'm heading their the middle of June. I hope it's open. When it does open it will be the only way you can drive to the Arctic ocean in North America.

to do so, one you think would be neat. Personally, if I had the money, time, some way to make sure my meds won't go bad, no bad back and knees, ticker, etc, I can see going North Shore to Tierra del Fuego, and a lot of other places other people would see as "why go there". Go as far as you can for as long as you can, then stop.:thumbup1: |

Hey gmouns, I also want to start my trip from Alaska to middle-america in Anchorage. In this moment I'm waiting for my visa and the I hopefully arrive Anchorage around the 20th June. I'm travelling alone with my BMW 800GS and it will be nice to ride with someone together. Normally I don't want ride up to the north. But I've also not a real plan. What do you think? : Mchappy: |

Hey, I am hoping to meet Standec who is riding with a friend from Anchorage at around this same time, I personally would like to head north to Prudhoe Bay to reach the northernmost point and then begin my journey south via tok and crossing into Canada via Little Gold and the Top of The World Highway and make my way towards Vancouver. Of course you are more than welcome to join us if you wish to! If you want I can pm you my email address and maybe we can talk there? |
