Hi. Leaving Ireland for Cape Town December 06, via Festival in the Desert, Mali and down west side of Africa on F650 Dakar. Anyone interested in sharing info, (part of) journey?

Hi there. That's pretty much the same trip as myself. Leaving UK in November, planning on going to desert festival in Jan, then continuing down west coast. Also on Dakar:thumbup1:

Not much serious overland experience (just Europe), but a reasonable mechanic and experienced biker.

If you will be in England anytime in October, then we could meet up. I am also going to Belgium meet, where there should be some others doing a similar trip starting in the next few months.
