What parcel company?
 
Any feedback on what shipping company to use (or not to use) for worldide parcels ect?
Fedex, UPS, TNT?
Looking into it from the point of shipping spares, ect to wherever!

whoever you use, make sure you set the value of the contents to a very low amount. I think, it was a while ago so I forget, that in ethiopia they tried to sting us for 150% import tax on the value of the goods imported.

i think we used UPS, which got the stuff there ok.

Shipping companies
 
Hi Djorob

We used DHL to ship spare parts to India and also Morocco without any trouble. As previosly mentioned make sure it is clearly written on the package what every item is (otherwise you'll have big problems with customs) and its value.

When valueing the item make sure its a very low price, but realistic to the country your in and this will prevent too many customs problems.

More than anything else it's important to make sure that the company you're dealing with has an office in the town you're in! If they hand it off to someone, it will get lost...

ie, find out who has an office where you are and send it by them. And let that office know you're expecting a parcel, and where you can be found. And visit every day with a beer or six in hand...
