UK driving photo licences valid oonly 10 years - £1000 fine if you go over!
It may have been posted before, not sure but just in case!
FYI, the photocard driving licences are like passports and expire after 10 years. This was news to us! So we checked our own licences and found that my husband's licence expires in May. Worth checking as the fine if you get caught driving with an expired licence could be a £1000. See attached file for details. DVLA sent us reminders that we needed to renew our licences a few weeks before the expiry date.

Aye, I was sent a reminder too..
This COMPULSORY update also comes with a £17.50 charge for them to change my photo.. Since I already paid for my licence 10 years ago, I don't see why I should have to pay again every 10 years.. Its just another stealth tax by the government so they can pay for their private jets and free houses. Fookers |
