This may not have the answers you are looking at, but there are a lot of nice picture of dogs in Urals and other hacks.

bumping this up....

I'm bumping this thread up as the deadline for my dog travel book nears. Does ANYONE know of people traveling with their mutts??? Would especially like to talk to travelers with experience in Africa and Asia. Motorcycles, vehicles, horses and boats, all welcome!

Hi I brought my dog with me from Scotland to New Zealand , we did it by air .
He sadly passed away a few months ago . We had a lot of adventures together around Scotland and around the south island of New Zealand .

I want to do a trip early next year overland by bike back home with his ashes, where I can put my wee mate to rest .

Would love to share stories and pics of my mate for your book.

Straying of subject a bit , does anyone know if traveling with the ashes would be a problem ?

Lovely story. Can't help you out with the ash question, but checking with any airline should answer that question.
I'll email you.
