Travelling through Tibet
 

Hi there,

I hear this is the place to go if you want advice on motorbike travelling. So I am planning a trip through Tibet with my boyfriend next year, I hear April is a good time, but unsure how to go about it with the political sensitivity around foreigners in the country.

We'd prefer to go on our own but wouldn't object to having a guide, just don't want to join a tour group.

I would be really grateful for any advice, from where to hire bikes to whether it is even doable. This is me starting from scratch and I hear you guys are the experts on anything to do with motorbike travel.
