Are there any UK Canoeists on the HUBB ??
I canoed the Yukon from Whitehorse to Dawson city for a month in 2012 which was a massive baptism of fire. I learned to canoe there.
When I got home I bought a canoe, but I've used it very little apart from a few bimbles up and down the River Dee ( I live on the Wirral). Generally due to lack of information and I don't know anyone who is interested in it. I've been researching trips down the River Severn from Pool Quay to Stourport and also the Lower River Wye. It would be nice to meet like minded canoe travellers with some UK experience. Maybe even get a few canoes together for a river and camping trip in the Spring. Cheers, Ted |
Along with the canoe in my pocket I also have interest in paddling Canadian canoes. I did a bit in Canada many moons ago and also in the Lakes in Cumbria. No permits needed there. I was able to borrow a boat through work at the time, but don't own or have access to a free boat anymore.
